Endlich in Japan / Finally in Japan

Ich konnte jetzt eine Weile nicht schreiben, da ich meine Gastfamilie nicht gleich am Anfang nach Internet fragen wollte.
In den ersten drei Tagen war ich in einem Camp, um auf mein Zusammenleben mit der Gasfamilie vorbereitet zu werden. Dort habe ich vor allem viele Regeln gelernt. Aber auch wie ich mit bestimmten Situationen umgehe und schon ein bisschen der Japanischen Kultur kennengelernt.

Am Samstag habe ich dann endlich meine Gastfamilie getroffen. Als es so weit war, war ich so nervös, dass ich keine Ahnung mehr hatte, wie meine Gastfamilie aussieht! Zum Glück haben sie mir zu gewunken, ansonsten wäre das sehr peinlich geworden. Ich und 2 andere Austauschschüler sind im gleichen Chapter, das heisst, dass wir uns bei von den Volunteers organisierten Treffen immer wieder sehen. 

Ich bin jetzt schon den 4. Tag bei meiner Gastfamilie. Und habe schon so viel erlebt wie in einer Woche kaum reinpasst! An meinem ersten Tag konnte ich schon einen Yukata tragen :) Und ging auf en kleines Fest. An die Blicke muss ich mich noch erst etwas gewöhnen, gut merke ich so was nicht schnell.

In meiner Schule war ich jetzt auch schon zwei mal um die Schuluniform anzuprobieren. Schon nach dem ersten Besuch, gab es nen Anruf ich darf beim nächsten mal keine lackierten Nägel haben und Schmuck tragen. Upps! Über die Uniform machne ich später mal einen eigenen Post. 

Ich werde in der Schule wohl dem Badminton Club beitreten, wenn ich das so richtig herausgehört habe.

Ich habe mir auch schon meinen ersten Manga auf Japanisch gekauft, nachdme ich nach 15 min die erste Seite immer noch nicht geschaft habe, habe ich aber aufgegeben. Ich muss wohl noch etwas mehr Vorwissen haben.

Meine Gastfamilie bringt mir das bei, in dem sie mich jedesmal erwartugsvoll ansehen, wenn sie Danke gesagt haben. Und jetzt selber auch nur noch das benutzen, anstatt einfach nur Hai (Ja) sagen.

Meine Gastmutter sagte, dass meine Figur nicht gut ist für einen Yukata. Man darf keine Taille haben.
My host mum told me, that my figure isn't suited for a yukata. You shouldn't have a waist.

I couldn't write for a while, because I didn't want to ask my host family right at the beginning for the WiFi password.

In the first three days I was in a camp, to be getting prepared for the life with my host family. There I've learned many rules. But also how to react in certain situations and also got to know a little bit of the Japanese culture.

On Saturday I've finally met my host family. As soon as they told me I could meet them, my mind was blank. I didn't know anymore how my host family looks like! Fortunately they waved at me. That would have been embarrassing. I and two other exchange students are in the same chapter. That means we will meet again through the exchange year, on meetings which are organised from the volunteers there.

I'm now with my host family for four days. I've already did so much! On my first day I already got to wear a Yukata and go to a little festival. :)
I have to get used to being stared at, but gladly I'm a little bit dense and don't really realize it. 

I've been to my school now twice to try on my uniform. i will write a post about it later.

Already after the first visit they called to tell me not to come with painted nails, earings and necklaces. Whoops!

In school I will probably join the badminton club, if I heard right.

And also I already bought my first Japanese Manga. After 15 minutes of trying to figure out what the first page means, I gave up. I think I need a little bit more knowledge.

My host family tries to teach me that while looking expectantly at me after they say thank you. And also they always say it after I tell them thank you instead of just saying Hai (Yes) like their used to.

Es beginnt! / It starts!

Heute geht es nun endlich los! Um 13:00 Uhr hebt mein Flugzeug ab.
Der Tag ist viel schneller gekommen, als ich gedacht hätte. Gerade eben habe ich mich angemeldet und jetzt kann ich schon ins Flugzeug steigen.
Nach meiner Ankunft in Japan werde ich gleich in ein dreitägiges Camp gehen und danach von meiner Gastfamilie abgeholt werden.
Ich dachte ich würde viel aufgeregter sein, sitze jetzt aber immernoch seelenruhig in der Küche, als würde das alles nicht wirklich geschehen.
Meine beste Freundin wird mit zum Flughafen kommen um mich zu verabschieden.
Das nächste mal wenn ich schreibe, werde ich schon in Japan sein.

Today is the final day! At 1:00 pm my plane will fly away.
This day came faster than I ever imagined. I just applied for this exchange year and now I can get in the plane.
After my arrival in Tokyo I'm going to have a 3 day camp and afterwards my host family's coming to catch me.
I thought I would be much more excited, but I sit in the kitchen as if nothing hoing to happen.
My best friend's coming too to say farewell at the airport.
The next time when I write. I will be in Japan.

Vorbereitungs-Camp / Orientation camp

Wie ich schon angetönt hatte, war dieses Wochenende das Vorbereitungs Camp. Die Einladung dazu kam etwa 10 Tage vorher mit der Post hereingeschneit.  Ich war ziemlich aufgeregt, da ich nicht wusste, was genau in diesem Lager passieren wird. Das Lager war wirklich toll! Zwar mussten alle Teilnehmer ihre Handys, iPods, Uhren und sonstige elektronischen Geräte abgeben, aber ich war schlussendlich froh darum, da ich ansonsten nie solange mit den anderen Austauschschülern geredet hätte. Ich denke, den anderen ging's auch so, ich will mich aber nicht ganz darauf festlegen, da einige meinen Blog lesen :). Ohne Uhren wussten wir natürlich nie wie lange wir schon auf waren und ich weiss darum nicht wie lange ich das ganze Wochenende geschlafen habe. Aber es war wenig.  Das Camp war wirklich hilfreich und wir haben viel über das Jahr erfahren, auch wenn du Übungen anfangs nicht immer ganz verständlich waren.
Das Camp war viel zu kurz und ich wollte am Ende gar nicht mehr weggehen. Wir haben uns alle so gut verstanden und innerhalb dieser 3 Tage angefreundet.

I went this weekend to the Orientation camp. The invitation came 10 days before the camp. I was really happy that I got in time. I was very nervous, because I didn't know, how the camp will be. It was great! Phones, iPods and even our watches weren't aloud, but at the end I was glad, that we didnt have them. Otherwise I wouldn't have talked that long with the other exchange students.  I'm not sure, but I think the others think the same about this. I dont want to write something wrong, because a few of them read my Blog. :) Without the watches we never knew what time it was, so I have no clue how long I slept this wekkend. But it was short. The camp was very hepful and I learned a lot. Although I didn't quite understood some of the exercises at the beginning.
I really didn't want to go home. I wanted to stay at least for a week more. I think I speak for all of us, if I say, that we became good friends in this 3 days.
